The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO) will accept applications to the 2010 scholarship offered by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
The scholarship is open to Filipinos of excellent academic standing who wish to study Mandarin Chinese or to pursue masters or doctoral degrees in their chosen disciplines in universities in Taiwan. Mandarin language scholarships will be for one year, while master's and PhD scholarships are valid for 2 and 3 years, respectively.
5 scholars will be chosen for the Mandarin Chinese course and will receive a monthly stipend of NT$25,000 (approximately P36,600) while a total of 10 grantees for the graduate levels will be given NT$30,000 (approximately P44,000).
