Key Responsibilities:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proofreading skills
- Experience in communications and website management
- Oversee publication production, including artwork, layout, computer typesetting, and printing, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget requirements.
- Experience in print production from the first stage of editorial decision-making to design, approval and print
- a flexible and patient can do approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Familiarity with an international non-profit / charity helpful, but not required
- Prepare, rewrite and edit copy to improve readability read copy or proof to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
- Allocate print space for subject text, photos, and illustrations
- Plan the contents of publications according to the publication's style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements.
- Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources.
- Review and approve proofs submitted by department prior to publication production.
- Develop Subjects or content ideas, considering reader or audience appeal.
- Assign topics, events and to individual writers or reporters for coverage.
- Read, evaluate and edit manuscripts or other materials submitted for publication and confer with authors regarding changes in content, style or organization, or publication.
- Monitor news-gathering operations from Different departments to ensure utilization of all news sources.
- Make manuscript acceptance or revision recommendations to the publisher.

Skills

- Bachelor in Media or journalism.
- 3-5 Years Experience
- Fluency in English and Arabic languages desirable
- Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
