Job Opening: Editor - Middle East for Crank & Piston Magazine (UAE)
Company: Crank&Piston

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: Competitive

Description of position available: www.crankandpiston.com is looking for someone to become the editor and the face of crank&piston and develop www.crankandpiston.com further down the route of online awesomeness in the Middle East.

Past experience of working within the automotive media sphere is highly recommended, and previous time working in the region would be a bonus. If you know your way around facebook, twitter, youtube and wordpress then that’s even better.

Working closely with the c&p executive team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day content generation and management of the site, plus interacting with our numerous fans and followers through facebook and twitter. We’re looking for someone who eats, lives and breathes all things motoring – whether its the latest reveals from the auto industry, to the drama on and off the race track, or their own angle on a test drive. We’re not looking for someone to churn out bland reviews of cars, rather someone that can find each car’s reason for being and exploit it through an informative and entertaining story. As the editor, the successful applicant will become the face of crank&piston and will be expected to travel on press trips, attend race meetings and generally be happy to go the extra mile to find interesting stories below-the-radar of the mainstream media. In return, we can offer an attractive tax-free salary in the vibrant city of Dubai in the UAE. You’ll get a desk in our loft office in Dubai Media City, though we’d hope you’d be out and about so much that it gathers plenty of dust. We’ll give you a MacBook Pro to get your work done and one flight home a year to see your nearest and dearest.
