As announced on Assam Times, the District information and Public Relations Office - Haflong Dima Hasao has organized an All-Assam Essay and Poetry Competition to promote "healthy understanding and mutual coexistence between the people living in the hills and plains of Assam," which should also be the theme of the essays and poems submitted for the competition.
Top three entries will be awarded cash prizes and certificates. Entries should be in English and submitted together with a passport-size photo by March 28, 2011 to:
