Job Opening: Financial Editor/ Writer for Finapolis Magazine (Karvy Investor, India)
Job Title: FINANCIAL EDITOR/ WRITER

Location: Hyderabad

Qualification:

A post-graduate in economics, commerce, or finance with a degree / diploma in journalism and a flair for English editing is preferred. Alternately, you could also be a post-graduate in English Literature, having at least two years experience in a financial magazine / newspaper / journal.

Experience: 3-5 years

Job Description:

You will be a part of the editorial team and manage two monthly magazines (including the flagship Finapolis) and two weekly newsletters.

Work closely with our equity and commodity analysts in Mumbai and Hyderabad to edit a wide variety of financial and commodity research reports.

Check for the grammatical errors and redundancies, bring about consistency by conforming to in-house style guides, and rewrite ambiguous texts to ensure coherence and logical flow of thought.

Check to see if visuals, charts, and tables (and its contents) support the report.

While a financial editor is our key requirement, an editor-cum-writer will be an added advantage. As a financial writer, you will contribute articles for our personal finance magazine and provide (and edit) content for the Karvy website.

Above all, as part of the publications team, you need to interact regularly across departments, besides maintaining close relationships with our external writers / contributors.

Key Skills:

A passion for the Financial - English language A good understanding / working knowledge of business finance would be an added advantage. You must keep yourself updated with events in the financial markets, besides continuously enhancing your financial knowledge. Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
