The Commissioning Editor will be responsible for expanding Cabi's Book Programme throughout the region, including the Sourcing of local printers and publishing partners to support region-specific print runs of selected Cabi Books. The Commissioning Editor reports directly to the country Director, India with functional reporting to the Editorial Director in the UK. This will involves research, commissioning and evaluating proposals, and processing contracts and manuscripts through to acceptance.

Cabi is seeking to our operations in India to expand CABI's book publishing activities in India and establish CABI as the publisher to choice for the best Indian agriculture research.
Cabi Improves people's lives by providing information and applying scientific expertise to solve problem in agriculture and the environment and also include scientific publishing. Development projects and research, and microbial services.
A significant focus of the role will be on developing and maintaining a profitable list of books in CABI's core areas of applied life sciences, agriculture and related subjects, in line with Cabi's overall book commissioning strategy.
These proposals will include titles for CABI's global market and also others whose market will primarily be region-specific.
Qualification:- A First Degree in a Biological, agricultural or related subject; will be computer literate, including good working knowledge of MS office applications and file types commonly used in publishing; will have a thorough understanding of the STM Publishing market and an interest in electronic as well as print publishing..
