Description:

Responsibilities include assisting Online Content Editor with researching content and imagery for large web portal requiring daily upkeep in both Arabic and English. You will need to generate ideas for compelling content including publishing the content through the portal's administration panel.

Responsibilities:

* Research compelling news content and articles to appeal to target audience
* Prepare and edit copy for publication on the web portal using both written Arabic and English
* Verify all information, such as statistics, dates and facts, using standard reference sources.
* Source images and artwork, and commission photographic or video works to enhance user experience ensuring suitability for audience.
* Edit and optimize content to enable readability and search engine optimisation.
* Manage blogs, forums, wikis and other forms of user-generated content.
* Work to set schedules and deadlines for the publication and archiving of information and news on the portal.
* Manage an in-house content management system (CMS)
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure policies and procedures of the organization are maintained.
* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements (Specific to Role):

* Detailed knowledge of GCC area specifically UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia, with knowledge of Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain an advantage
* Writing for the web (links, keywords).
* Web research and reporting experience.
* Candidate must be able to demonstrate web copywriting and editing abilities.
* Have an understanding of copyright and data protection laws

Requirements (General):

* Ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English, with Arabic being the preferred native language.
* Ability to meet deadlines and plan short- and long-term projects.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Able to multitask and prioritize work schedules.
* Excellent writing skills in both English and Arabic.
* Good understanding of grammar, punctuation, and spelling, in English and Arabic.
* Highly organised
* Computer Literate
