1. Financial Language Editor

We are looking for Financial Language Editors to cover Japanese, Korean and Chinese markets as part of our expansion. Editors are responsible for translating, analyzing and researching documents in order to capture relevant financial and nonfinancial information. Editors work closely with data collection teams to ensure data accuracy.

Successful applicants will undergo extensive training to equip them with a better understanding of the business and its role in Capital IQ Manila.

Responsibilities:

The role will be an integral part of Capital IQ's research operations. The process will involve reading market specific news publications. The Financial Language Editor will translate text into English and distribute to processing centers. Both the translation and distribution processes are supported by proprietary software packages and tools. They will work closely with colleagues in London and India, who are responsible for different aspects of the overall process. The role will vary as new projects are defined and taken on. These projects will entail working with translation software, and will range from working with various types of data and information services.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

* The position requires language translation skills from at least one of the following languages into English: Mandarin/Chinese, Japanese, Korean.
* Proficiency in English.
* Applicant must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree.
* Working Knowledge of computers and desktop applications (Microsoft XP, Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook).
* Must be Internet savvy.
* Have a keen interest in translation and an eye for detail.
* Pro-active, highly-trainable team players.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver with regard to work deadlines.
* Positive attitude, ability to interact with individuals in different levels of the organization and deal with issues in a mature and professional manner.

Editors are responsible for translating, analyzing and researching documents in order to capture relevant financial and nonfinancial information. Editors work closely with data collection teams to ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

* Proficiency in Arabic, Indonesian, Vietnamese is a MUST.
* Good English writing skills.
* Applicant must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree.
* Accounting background preferred, but not required.
* Working knowledge of computer and desktop applications (Microsoft XP, Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook).
* Pro-active, highly trainable team players.
* Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver with regard to work deadlines.
* Positive attitude, ability to interact at many levels and deal with issues in a mature and professional manner.
* This is a full-time position from 8AM to 5PM and applicants must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig City.
