When an itch of literature comes over men, noting can cure it but the scratching of a pen.

For the next five weeks, UP Batibot will be open to a daily short story contest. At the end of the contest, the winner will receive P500 (per category) and a spot on UP Batibot.

Here are the guidelines:



1. Contestants are required to register an account over at UPBatibot.com. Participants must register a name in this format: name + UPB, i.e., engkantongkantoUPB.

2. Story submissions will be posted daily over at UP Batibot during the course of the competition. To be eligible to win, a contestant must be able to send in 1 story per week, over the contest period. Entries need not be sequential.

3. There will be 2 categories: a short story category, wherein entries must be stand-alone short stories; and an episode of a longer, contest-spanning story.

4. Entries must be between 500-1000 words per submission.

5. Every week, a certain theme will be given. Each story entry for that week must incorporate the theme as creatively as possible into their story submssions.
