After the popularity of the 1st Short Story writing competition at the SEPLAA Talent of Pakistan: Awards, Exhibition & Conference, we are now incorporating writing competitions as a permanent feature.
Through these competitions, we hope to involve more and more people to think critically about their living conditions in Pakistan so that they can contribute positively towards much needed solutions. We have therefore started quarterly article/fiction writing competitions to be held in January, April, August and December 2011.
Writing Competition 2, January 2011:
Please submit your articles/ short story of around 500 words at seplaa.mail@gmail.com and get published in Impact SEPLAA! Our publications are going to be circulated widely so hurry now!
Rules of the competition:
1. The piece must be no more than 500 words.
2. All entries must also be emailed to seplaa.mail@gmail.com with the subject title ‘Short Story Competition Entry’ as the body of the email message. Attachments will not be accepted.
3. The last date for receiving entries is 30th January, 2011.
4. Plagiarism will disqualify the participant from the competition.
5. The winning piece will be published in ‘Impact SEPLAA’ and the winner will also get a Certificate of Appreciation from the SEPLAA Foundation.
