Web Content Editor (National Capital Reg - Muntinlupa City)
Responsibilities:
The Microchip Marketing Communications (MarCom) team is looking for a Web Content Editor. This position works with MarCom and IS departments to ensure edits to the HTML content on the public website are executed quickly. Typical projects include proofreading and editing web content on design centers, landing zones, product pages, and promotional pages on Microchip.com. This individual will ensure that every page on the Microchip.com contains the appropriate trademarking and up-to-date messaging and links. This team member will proactively identify user experience (UX) issues, review and prioritize edits and updates through the use of a bug tracking system and report back to the Chandler, Arizona (USA) MarCom team daily.
Requirements:
* College degree in relevant fields
* Minimum of 1-2 years or more of experience in HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, JavaScript, Flash, Dreamweaver, MS Office, data entry.
* Strong CSS skills.
* Excellent proficiency of spoken and written English to write and develop web copy.
* Ability to produce and edit web graphics.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Strong decision making, attention to detail and prioritization abilities.
* Independent thinker that communicates and works well in a team environment.
* Accessible for evening conference calls.
* Past experience as a copywriter or copyeditor is a major plus.
* Extensive experience handling multiple projects and ensuring accuracy toward completion a plus.
* Ability to thrive in an ever changing, fast paced, dynamic environment.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Muntinlupa City.
