Editor (for a consumer health magazine)

Responsibilities:
* Write articles related to health and medicine, amending (re-writing of editing) articles, summarizing written material, and organizing and researching projects to tight deadlines.
* Conducting interviews with personalities and writing their stories to appear in the magazine.
* Proofreading to detect errors in spelling and punctuation. Verifying facts, dates, and statistics. Rewrites or modifies copy to conform to publication's style and editorial policy.
* Initiate or reply to correspondence regarding material published or being considered for publication.
Requirements:
* Graduate of Journalism, Mass Communications, Advertising/Media or equivalent.
* Well-versed and highly-interested in health and science.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Creative and deadline-driven.
* Ability to effectively handle pressure and manage time efficiently.
* At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
