Background

Afghanistan Times is an independent daily newspaper published in English language in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan. Established in 2006, published on 8 pages and contains different political, social and cultural articles and news reports.

Afghanistan Times is aimed to increasing awareness of the International Community regarding Afghanistan impartially. It is not related to any one or taking side with a certain group of people, aimed at serving countrymen and to strengthen peace, stability and democracy in the country.

Duties & Responsibilities

• News monitoring for publication
• Managing, training and guiding reporters
• Editing, translating news items
• Writing articles

Qualifications

• Good writing, editing skills
• Excellent management and supervision skills
• Extended knowledge of political and social situation in Afghanistan
• Interested in current affairs.
• Excellent written English and a concise writing style
• High standards of accuracy
• The ability to produce good work under pressure
• Quick understanding - journalists often have to write with authority on unfamiliar subjects
• A knowledge of the law as it affects journalism
