Chinese Copywriter
Contract or Full Time position available immediately for an experienced Chinese copywriter fluent in English, Cantonese or Mandarin. Reports to Copywriter Group Head.
We’re looking for a talented Chinese language writer with a proven track record in creative concept and copy development. This candidate must be an expert in the Chinese language, understand marketing, and have a penchant for crafting great advertising lines and bodycopy that move the audience. You¹re expected to work well independently and also with a creative partner collaborating on concept development. Your ability to meet tight deadlines and handle constructive criticism will allow you to create spot-on Chinese copywriting for print, TV, radio, online and collateral materials. Your ability to converse and write clearly in English, and provide insights on culture and language nuances will be instrumental to your success. Ad agency experience is preferable.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 2 -3 + years copywriting experience at an advertising agency, preferably in a bilingual environment
• Fluency in English, Cantonese or Mandarin
• Marketing knowledge and experience a must
• Proven track record in creative concept and copy development
• Ability to work well independently and as a team player
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle constructive criticism
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong customer service skills and work ethic
DUTIES
• Collaborate on concept development with other Chinese Copywriter and Copywriter Group Head.
• Responsible for Chinese copywriting (both Cantonese and Mandarin) for marketing & advertising materials including print, TV, radio, online and collateral.
• Oversee English back-translations
• Ensure that copywriting of outgoing pieces meet the highest professional standard of the company
• Provide insights on culture and language nuances to internal team members & clients
