MediaCorp features prominently in the development of Singapore's broadcasting history. We commenced Radio broadcast on 1 June 1936 and Television on 15 February 1963. Today, MediaCorp is Singapore's largest broadcaster with a complete range of media businesses spanning TV, Radio, News, Newspapers, Entertainment Productions, Movie Productions, Magazines, Electronic Media and other broadcasting services.

Business Editor, Press Job Reference No : T10 - Sep/NRP/H/020

The Business Editor will be responsible for the quality of business-related content in TODAY, including all its online extensions. Among the duties, the candidate will be tasked to generate business story ideas, select the best local and foreign news reports each day, decide on their positioning, edit the local and foreign business news reports, work with sub-editors on the display of reports as well as proof read the pages before they go to print. The candidate must have a good knowledge of local and foreign stock markets, experience in corporate reporting and must be current with local and foreign business trends and developments.

Requirements

· A university degree

· At least 5 years of newspaper editorial experience, preferably in a supervisory role

· An excellent command of English

· A broad and deep knowledge of business in Singapore

· Good organizational skills and time management

· Strong editing and proofing skills
