Iran is the host for international scholars attending the 7th edition of The International Congress of World Teachers of Persian Language and Literature. 500 guests and Iranian scholars will convene in Tehran on January 18 and 19, 2011.
The congress is an opportunity for an academic review of literary works and a tribute to authors who have promoted the Persian Language. Iran's post-revolutionary literature, comparative literature and modern methods of Persian language teaching are among the main themes of the congress.
The event is held biennially and for this year, a collection of educational media on the Persian language will be unveiled to guests and participants coming from 50 countries.
