The National Law School of India Review in association with the Nani Palkhivala Memorial Trust is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Student Bar Review - Nani Palkhivala Memorial Trust Essay Competition. Entries are invited on the following broad topics from current students from any law school or university in India.
Topics:
1. 'Residence' and fiscally transparent entities in international tax
2. Central and State Taxation of Software: The Interaction of Sale, Service and Licence
3. Validity of retrospective amendments to taxation statutes
4. Extra Territorial Operation of Tax Laws - Constitutional Validity
One may choose to write an essay on any of the above.
Word limit: 3000 to 5000 words (inclusive of footnotes)
Deadline: 15th February
Submission Address: Essay is to be emailed to mail.nlsir@gmail.com
Additional details: Joint authorship is allowed (maximum of 2 authors). Please send in a separate file, with author information and another file of the essay itself. The essay file must not contain any sort of identification of the author. Also, please ensure that the subject line of the email is "Submission: Nani Palkhivala Essay Competition". The top 50 entries would be given certificates of participation.
