All of the below scholarships shall be awarded on the basis of academic or professional merit; financial need will be considered when candidates are of equal merit. The number and the value of each scholarship shall be determined by the Selection Committee based on the funds that are available in each year.

JMSC Journalist Grant Scheme (China)
The JMSC Journalist Grant Scheme (China) fully or partially supports mainland students reading for a Master of Journalism at The University of Hong Kong. It shall be awarded to mainland Chinese journalists or students who:
* are Mainland China residents;
* have maintained consistently good performance in the news industry and/or in academic results;
* have enthusiasm towards journalism and aspire to pursue a career in journalism;
* are in a financial situation which does not permit postgraduate studies;
* are committed to Mainland China
JMSC Overseas Talent Scholarship
The JMSC Overseas Talent Scholarship fully or partially supports overeseas students reading for a Master of Journalism at The University of Hong Kong. It shall be awarded to overseas journalists or students who:
* are non Hong Kong residents
* have maintained consistently good performance in the news industry and/or in academic results;
* have enthusiasm towards journalism and aspire to pursue a career in journalism
JMSC Young Journalist Scholarship Scheme
Thanks to a generous contribution by a anonymous donor, the scholarship supports Hong Kong students reading the Master of Journalism programme at The University of Hong Kong. The scheme accepts applications from young journalists with at least three years of experience in the news industry, and who meet the following requirements:
* are Hong Kong permanent residents with the right of abode in Hong Kong;
* have demonstrated consistently good and ethical performance in the news industry;
* are enthusiastic about journalism and aspire to pursue a career in journalism;
* have demonstrated financial needs;
* are committed to the well-being of Hong Kong
Vicky Shek Zeitlin Memorial Scholarship Scheme
In memory of the late Vicky Shek Zeitlin, the family of Mrs. Zeitlin, with matching funds from The Freedom Forum, USA, the Vicky Shek Zeitlin Memorial Scholarship Scheme is open to Mainland Chinese journalists or students who wish to study for a Master of Journalism degree at The University of Hong Kong
William F. Woo Memorial Journalism Education Fund
The fund pays to send Mainland Chinese journalists to Hong Kong and the United States to study journalism.
