The organizers of Courage of Journalism Award and IREX have extended the deadline for nominations for the $3,000 Courage in Journalism Awards.

The Baghdad-based Journalistic Freedoms Observatory (JFO) has extended the deadline for its Courage in Journalism Awards, open to Iraqi investigative journalists.
Applications are accepted in following categories: print, radio, television and online news. Applicants should be able to prove that their reports impacted the community by serving the public good.
The judging committee will select four winners who will be awarded US$3,000 and a shield which represents journalistic courage. The competition is being run in cooperation with IREX, a nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C.
