Qualifications:

Fluent in English.

Native speaker or ILR level 5, with expertise in the target language.

Must have a degree in the language and preferably have taught the target language.

Able to understand the U.S. Government’s Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) descriptions. (Google “Interagency Language Roundtable” for more information.)

Able to work in the U.S.

Nature of Work: Making expert judgments on language proficiency test items. You will be trained in the task.

MUST be available during the following days and hours (all times EST), without interruptions (there will be breaks):

09 Dec 2010: 1-3pm OR 3-5pm (depending on the language)
10 Dec 2010: 10:45am-4:30pm
13 Dec 2010: 10:45am-5pm
14 Dec 2010: 10:45am-5pm (for PASHTO ONLY)
15 Dec 2010: 10:45am-5pm (for URDU ONLY)
16 Dec 2010: 10:45am-5pm (for DARI ONLY)

Technological Requirements:

A stable telephone connection.

A stable Internet connection.

MS Excel (2003 or later version).

A modern web browser.

Able to read PDF files.

Comfortable working in a virtual environment.

Compensation: $1900 for entire engagement
