Job Description
1. Beat reporting: Extensively cover all news happenings that comes within the scope of the news beats allotted to the reporter
2. Bringing special reports/stories to the newspaper regularly
3. Planning news/brand campaigns
4. Rewriting press releases/handouts to effectively indigenize the content
5. Have a proven ability to think visually
6. Ensure adherence to the media laws and regulations of Oman and the region
7. Ensure adherence to the local and regional protocols
8. Take extra effort to put visual elements — photos, charts, graphics — into the copy
9. Meet deadlines
10. Take extra effort to define new beats and cover them
