PROJECT SUMMARY AND POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Knowledge Management (KM) team within the Customer Self-Service and Data Management (CSSDM) group enables Thomson Reuters clients and support organisation to share and utilise knowledge on markets, TR products, tools, and updates, thus enhancing online query resolution. Content is exposed on/via the following:

• Central online knowledge management (Customer Answer Zone, or CAZ)
• Document management portal (Product A-Z, or PAZ)
• Client-facing online applications like Reuters Product Help, Customer Zone and Contact Us.
This is a global role based out of Bangalore. As a key editor in the KM Content Team, your main task will be to write, edit and publish client and internal content such as Alerts, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Summaries, Help material, etc. This content focusses on information on market data and ThomsonReuters' products, and some of it may be authored and reviewed by subject-matter experts. Along with content & team managers, you will ensure that all relevant content-related tasks are accomplished accurately, on time, and effectively.

ESSENTIAL DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Write, edit, publish content, based on relevance and day-to-day requirement

· Queue management of content, and of updates on it - Prioritising, allocating, publishing.

· Strict adherence to content authoring guidelines.

· Verification (with experts) for content accuracy.

· Generic content management, such as reducing duplication, consolidating, cleansing activities.

· Maintenance of close ties with authors from the support, development, product, and data worlds.

· Drive relevant content creation by proactively engaging with authors to ensure that needs of customers and internal users are met.

· Self-review of content (for quality, style, presentation) before finally uploading for clients.

· Self-documentation for one's content and engagements.

· Focus on specific content sets to develop expertise and contacts.

· Manage feedback from clients and internal users.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Based in Bangalore, may entail late shifts

EDUCATION:

· 1+ years of English editorial / technical writing / online writing / ad copywriting / PR writing work experience is a must.

· Outstanding written and oral English communication skills.

· Quick thinking, and the ability to translate information into accurate, error-free, timely content.

· At ease with various writing styles - serious, brief, colloquial, etc.

· High-standard documentation skills.

· Ability to translate complex technical language into easy-to-understand, clear and logical English.

· Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach.

· Very strong attention to detail.

· Good interpersonal and persuasive skills with ability to interact with people across time zones.

· Willingness to work across content types and develop content expertise.

DESIRED SKILLS

* Generic knowledge of business and finance markets is a strong preference.
* Exposure to content authoring tools, web content management experience will be a plus.
