Literary Prize in Kinaray-a at Balay Sugidanun
Poet and novelist Genevieve L. Asenjo launches http://balaysugidanun.com/. It sponsors Padya sa Pagsulat sa Kinaray-a or literary prize in Kinaray-a. Through publication of entries from January to December, and selection of best collections at the end of the year, it aims to discover and nurture new breed of Kinaray-a writers. Categories include poetry, short story, story for children, and personal essay. It is open to all Kinaray-a speakers all over the world, 15 years old and above.

The site features E-Nobela where her second novel, the first in Kinaray-a – Kamatayon sa Isla Boracay – will be serialized starting January 2011. It has E-Tiyangge, your shop on things Visayan like books, music, film, and handwoven and embroidered cloth. It also carries a translation page that blogs about Kinaray-a words weekly.
