Aliah University, an autonomous Minority Institution of Higher Learning under the Department of Minority Affairs & Madrasah Education, Govt. of West Bengal, invites applications in prescribed form from Indian citizens having knowledge in Islamic Culture within November 15, 2010, for appointment to the posts of (a) Professor, (b) Associate Professor, (c) Assistant Professor, and (d) Lecturer (Temporary) for each of the following disciplines:
  • Arabic
  • Bengali
  • English
  • Islamic Studies
  • Journalism & Mass Communication
Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at the Master’s Degree Level in the relevant subject from any recognized Indian University, or an equivalent Degree from Foreign University accredited by UGC. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the U.G.C. /C.S.I.R. or similar Test accredited by the UGC. (July 2009 notification)
