Faculty positions in Classical Chinese Literature (from Pre-Qin to the Tang dynasty)

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified academics who possess PhDs, as well as proven track records in teaching and research, to apply for two faculty positions, as Assistant Professor, or as Associate Professor / Full Professor, in the area of Classical Chinese Literature, with specialisation in periods from Pre-Qin to the Tang dynasty.

For appointment as Full Professor, distinguished records of scholarly accomplishments that include impactful research publications, leadership roles in institutions of higher learning, and strong commitment to teaching and programme development are expected. In addition to teaching and research, the successful candidate will be expected to play leadership roles in the School.

The successful candidates are expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels and to offer courses in both Chinese and English. Most subjects offered by the Division of Chinese are taught in Chinese while the administrative language of the University is English.

The Division of Chinese currently offers a Major and a Minor in Chinese, MA and PhD programmes by research, a Minor in Translation and General Elective subjects.
