The 3rd edition of The Laadli Media Awards have begun! We are calling for Entries for the 3rd edition of the Laadli Media Awards!
Deadline: 1 November 2010 (southern and western regions), 1 January 2010 (eastern and northern regions)
Population First and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have invited entries for the third UNFPA – Laadli Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity (ULMAGS) for the Southern Region for 2010-2011.
The award has been instituted to acknowledge the commendable efforts undertaken in the print, electronic and internet-based media that challenge dominant social stereotypes and analyse social, economic and political development from a gender perspective.
Entries are invited from journalists, advertising professionals and NGOs contributing news, features, investigative stories, editorials, op-eds, and columns on gender issues in English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Entries should have been published / displayed / broadcast or televised between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.
