China-Singapore Bilingual Speech Competition
To promote cross-cultural relations and highlight the importance of both English and Chinese Languages, the China-Singapore Children & Youths Bilingual Speech Competition was started in 2009 to promote Singapore’s “Speak Mandarin Campaign” and China’s “Improve English Campaign”. The competition is open to all pupils currently enrolled in schools in Singapore and China. Students in Singapore will compete in Mandarin, and student in China in English. Students of ages 3 to 15 years are invited to participate.
