EVENT: Shared History – The Indian Experience festival - Marking the the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first indentured Indians in South Africa, the fourth Shared History – The Indian Experience festival is a cul-tural showcase that invites the public to explore some of the country’s rich and unique culture.

VENUE: Various venues in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town

Offering an exceptional programme that incorporates the arts, health, literacy and food, the festival aims to celebrate the richness of both South African and Indian cultures, while prompting crucial dialogues between the two countries.

The festival opens with Delhi- based musicians Gaurav Raina and Tapan Raj, whose electronica fusion group Midival Punditz will be rocking the Turbine Hall in Newtown on September 3.
