Annual 2010 Veteran's Day Essay Contest (Filipino American Veterans Society)

The Filipino American Veterans Society is sponsoring its Annual Veterans Day Student Essay Contest to encourage 9th through 12th graders to learn more about the heroism and importance of servicemen and women throughout our nation’s history.

TO BE ELIGIBLE Essay Contest candidates must:

• Must be a dependent child of an Active Duty, Reservist or Retiree of the U. S. Armed Forces
• Be in grades 9th through 12th in Duval or Clay County for academic year 2010-2011
• Limit one entry per student
• Write an original essay entitled: “WHAT VETERANS DAY MEANS TO ME?”
• Limit the essay to 400 - 500 words and must be typed and double spaced, two pages maximum. Type your full name on top of essay.
• Mail the completed entry form with an original essay to:
