In the required description of your work to be completed at Ledig House, please be sure to state that you would like to be considered for an Amazon Translator Fellowship. The application deadline is October 20, 2010. Candidates are free to request a residency during the spring or fall 2011 session.

In addition to Ledig House, Amazon.com has awarded grants to a diverse range of not-for-profit author and publisher groups dedicated to fostering the creation, discussion and publication of new writing and new voices, including WriteGirl, 826 Seattle, , Voice of Witness, Poets & Writers, Seattle Arts and Lectures, Milkweed Editions, Richard Hugo House, Artist Trust, Hedgebrook, Copper Canyon Press, Girls Write Now, Lambda Literary Foundation, Clarion West, the Association of Writers & Writing Programs and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers.
