West Boca Theatre Company of the Adolph and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center is sponsoring its 4th Annual International Jewish Short Play Competition.
* The original plays should have a theme exploring an aspect of Jewish life or culture, either modern or historic.
* The competition is limited to non-musical genres, with a performance time of no less than six minutes and no more than fifteen minutes.
* The cast must be limited to no more than six characters.
* The submission must be original and can not have been performed previously in South Florida.
* There will be a $10.00 entry fee (check made out to Levis JCC).
* One entry per author.
* No email submissions
* Face Page of submission should contain: Title of play,author’s name ,address,phone numbers….(home and cell) ,email address
* Play should begin on page 2, and should not list the author’s name.
* Award Winners and selected Honorable Mentions will be performed at a Staged Reading on Saturday, April 2nd at 8 pm and Sunday, April 3rd at 2 pm.
* First Prize – $500.00 Second Prize - $300.00 Third Prize - $200.00
* Honorable Mentions will receive an honorarium.
* Prizes not guaranteed, if submissions do not meet judges’ criteria and standards
