3rd Eco-Generation Enviromental Essay Competition (top prize: one million Won) Co-sponsored by UNEP Regional Office for the Asia Pacific Region

Eco-generation would like to announce the launch of 3rd Eco-generation Environmental essay Competition. This competition will be held along with the 4th Kumpooh UCC Contest. (Please refer to the Korean website for more details on the UCC Contest.) We hope this competition will motivate the students around Asia-Pacific region and raise awareness about the environment.

• Submission Deadline: September 26, 2010
• Finalists Announcement: October 11st, 2010 (To be announced through the Eco-generation website)
• Topic: Biodiversity&Saving Energy
• Eligibility: Eco-generation members attending elementary, middle and high schools
• Length and format: Your essay may not be longer than 3 pages of A4 size (1300 words maximum), 1.5 line-spaced. You are required to provide an abstract of 100 words on the application form. An abstract is a short summary which explains the main theme of your essay. The abstract might be used by the jury to make a pre-selection.
• How to Submit: Please download application form from the Eco-generation website(www.eco-generation.org) and send your essay with the application form to ecomaster@samsung.com.
