We are organizing a story-writing competition among the old boys and students of STAR in co-operation with Mr Ariffin Mamat who is currently based in Saudi Arabia.
* The story must be a true life experience of life in STAR and must be original
* No limit to the length of the article and you can send the article to us either in plain text, doc or pdf formats
* It can be in English or Bahasa Malaysia
* All submissions will be published on this web site
* The story and its rights will become the property of Friends Of STAR
* The sole judge for this competition is Mr Ariffin Mamat
* Closing date: 17th November, 2010

First prize is an umrah package for 1 person sponsored by Mr Ariffin Mamat. Prize is not transferable neither could it be exchanged for cash. Winner must utilize the prize not later than the next Ramadhan month.
VIP treatment for the winner in Saudi Arabia (courtesy of Mr Ariffin).
Five consolation prizes of RM200 each - also sponsored by Mr Ariffin Mamat.
Friends of STAR will collate all articles into a book to be published to commemorate the launching of Friends of STAR. Each contributor, if and when the book is published, will receive a free copy. Friends of STAR and Mr Ariffin Mamat reserve the right to edit articles selected for the book for whatever reason they deem fit.
