Deadline: 20 August 2010
Geographical Restrictions: none
Reading Fee: none
Accepts (genre): non-fiction, short stories
Prize/Payment: none

Summary:

Stories to be published in a new book.

Details:

I am seeking stories about mothers for a new book. The stories need to be examples of mothers who have displayed extraordinary wisdom. The kind of wisdom that comes from good core values, integrity and the real truth of life. But the focus needs to be on the story or the event which articulates the wisdom.

They can be stories about all types of mothering - mothers at home, in the community, at work, and on the world stage. There are also many ‘honorary Mothers’ in the world, men who, for various reasons or circumstances, have taken on either dual roles, or have decided to become ‘stay at home Dad’s’, whilst their partners work.

Some stories chosen will also feature on the website, so photos may be required. Names can be changed if privacy is required. Whilst there is no payment contributing writers will be acknowledged both in print and online.
Deadline:

20 August 2010 @ 5pm Eastern Daylight Saving Time

(Successful sources will not be paid.)
