Rally Pakistan is an independent and international platform for individuals to connect, share and write for Pakistan. To celebrate our launch we are holding an International Essay Contest sponsored by the Sahira Noor Trust. To enter you must be a member of the Rally Pakistan Community. The contest is open to people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities from all corners of the world. The prizes include:

# First place prize of £100 ($150/Rs. 12000)
# Runner-up prizes of £25 ($35/Rs. 3000) for second and third place winners.

The essay contest is designed to encourage and reward creative and analytic writing amongst individuals all around the world. Through the contest, we aim to inspire debate and discussion through the use of writing as a method of communication. We also aim to promote awareness of the issues facing Pakistan both positive and negative and work towards greater connectivity between people all around the world interested in Pakistan.

To enter you must submit a 1000-1500 word essay with the following title: ‘The Way Forward for Pakistan…’ In your essay, you should discuss what you believe to be the way for Pakistan to progress and develop as a country. You are invited to express whatever opinion you have. However, your writing must be entirely your own work; any work that is copied or plagiarized will be automatically disqualified.

The deadline for entry is Friday 27th August 2010 at 5:00pm GMT. The winners will be contacted via email and a money transfer will be arranged immediately. All entries will be published on the Rally Pakistan website. The winners will be announced on Friday on 3rd September 2010.The winners will be selected by agreement between the Rally Pakistan Editor and Columnists as well as the Sahira Noor Trust. You are advised to read the websites ‘Terms and Conditions’ before entering.

How to submit your essay

In order to submit your essay and be considered for the contest, you must follow these two steps.

Step One – Register/Login

You must first register with Rally Pakistan. Registration is completely free is takes a few seconds. Click the ‘create an account’ button underneath the login form to register. If you are already registered, simply login using the username and password you registered with.

Step Two – Submit an Article

One you have logged in, click on the ‘Submit an Article’ link found at the top of this website. In the title section, write the title ‘The Way Forward for Pakistan’ and your essay in the main content.
