When: 1 September 2010
Where: Fringe Studio, Hong Kong Fringe Club
OutLoud meets on the first Wednesday of every month in the downstairs bar at the Fringe in Central, Hong Kong. Please e-mail us if you would like to be added to our mailing list - we'll only send you information about poetry and other literary events in Hong Kong. Come along and read or listen.
Write in to be included in the main section, or see the MC on the night if you'd like to read in the Open Mic section at the end of the evening. Please include a couple of sentences about yourself and, if possible, the titles of the poems you would like to read.
Anyone may read - we don't audition or select, but we do ask readers to limit themselves to three minutes or two poems, whichever takes the least time! Please time your readings before the evening - readers who exceed their time may find their masterpieces cut short! There's usually an opportunity to read more later in the evening.
Readings are mainly in English, but we often have work in other languages, usually accompanied by an English translation. We sometimes have poems translated from English into other languages - Arabic and Chinese, for example!
8pm at Fringe Studio, Hong Kong Fringe Club. Our next session is on the 1st of September 2010. The MC is Eddie Tay.
