Foreign-Language Book Reading in Japan this August

Details:

The year of 2010 is the “National Year of Reading”. Throughout the year, the Yamanashi Prefectural Library is hosting a series of reading promotion events and exhibitions. As part of this campaign, the library will be holding Book Reading in Foreign Languages during this summer holidays. (July ~ August)

Prefectural library volunteers will read storybooks in English, and several foreigner residents in Yamanashi are also invited to read pictures books in their native languages. Guests will also talk about their cultures and customs.
