And here we go again ...
With the enthusiasm and creativity shown by our readers in our past contests, we at sikhchic.com are ready to embark on our next contest:
The Cosmic Sikhs Short Story Contest
Imagine a brave new world a century from now - in the year 2110. Man has successfully crossed the last frontier and is well settled on a number of planets and other heavenly bodies across the universe. - true to Guru Nanak's description of 'paataalaa paataal lakh aagaasaa aagaas', an endless array of lands in the great firmament.
Cosmic Sikhs are flourishing in every aspect of life, at every level - and as leaders in every field. Let your imagination wander and tell us how YOU envision life in the future for these Cosmic Sikhs - of life in the year 2110, as these brave men and women, boys and girls, continue their historic role as pioneers and nation builders.
We would like to invite our young readers - between 12 and 19 years old - to apply their creative energies to this vision of the future by interpreting it and formulating their own creative rendition of life lived in Sikhi in the future. You are obviously embarking on a journey into a science-fiction world. Innovation, creativity, imagination - and the principles of Sikhi - are to be your guides.
Hence, this contest. We invite submissions from all of you across the globe - Sikh and non-Sikh, boys and girls, young men and women within the prescribed age limits.
