1. The Theme is "Carnival of Fear."

2. Prizes:

* 1st prize: $100 * 2nd prize: $50 * 3rd prize: $25

3. Deadline: Manuscripts must be in .rtf or Microsoft Word Format and emailed to submissions@horrorbound.com no later than October 8, 2010.

4. This contest is open to writers aged 18 and older.

5. Entries must be original and unpublished.

6. Winning entries and honourable mentions will be published in Issue 14 of Horrorbound.com.

7. The Winners and those who will receive an honourable mention must provide brief biographies.

8. Manuscripts must be typed and double-spaced. Each story must be between 1,500 (minimum) and 3,500 words (maximum).

9. Each manuscript must contain the following information:

o your horror bound userid. To obtain a userid please register for a free account at horrorbound.com. accounts are usually approved within 24 hours.
o the author’s name, address, phone number, and e-mail address;
o the title of the submission;
o exact word count;
o and how or where you heard about this contest.

10. The winning short stories will be chosen by Horror Bound Magazine Editor M. Grazia, and reviewers Jason Rolfe and Chuck Gould.
