Jewish Stories publishes short fiction with Jewish themes or content. Judaism does not need to be the central focus of the story. We welcome submissions from Jews and non-Jews. We are most interested in stories under 7,500 words, but we will consider stories up to 15,000 words. There is no minimum length requirement.
We request first serial rights, and do not consider stories which have been previously published. Simultaneous submissions are okay, but please notify us immediately to withdraw your story if it is accepted by another publication. Please submit no more than two stories per quarter.
We pay one cent per word and do not provide contributor copies. Payments are sent through PayPal at the time of publication.
Email your submission to editor@jewishstoriesmagazine.com. Attach your story to the email in any standard file format. We reply to submissions as quickly as possible. Please contact us if you have not received a reply within three months.

Jewish Stories is a quarterly magazine devoted to publishing short fiction with Jewish themes and content. Our goal is to promote continued interest in Jewish literature, which we believe is an essential aspect of modern Jewish culture. We will release our first issue in spring, 2011.
We are currently accepting submissions for issue one, and we will soon begin pre-sales of subscriptions. In the mean time, sign up for our mailing list to receive a reminder by email when we release the first issue.
