For its fifteenth anniversary the "International Shinto Foundation" is organizing an international conference to be held June 11-12, 2011 at the East-West Center, Honolulu, Hawaii.
We are looking for new research on Hawaii, Mainland USA, Korea, and China, written by scholars of History, Religious Studies, and/or Social Sciences, with an eye on the latest interpretive instruments.
Only twelve papers will be selected by an international committee, and publication will follow. Travel costs and stay will be paid, as well as a modest honorarium. Acceptable languages for presentation are English and Japanese.
Please submit a two-page proposal in writing by September 10, 2010, to Allan G. Grapard, at the following e-mail address: agrapard@hawaii.rr.com
