Asia Writes's Featured Writer O Thiam Chin and 16 Other Writers from Asia Selected to Participate in Iowa International Writing Program

THE INTERNATIONAL WRITING PROGRAM (IWP) brings to the University of Iowa outstanding authors from every continent. Each fall, 25-35 writers gather in Iowa City to work on their own projects, to give readings and lectures, to travel in the US, and to interact with American audiences and the literary community. It is the oldest and largest multinational writing residency in the world, with a tradition of literary excellence that has continued for more than four decades.

For 2010, they have selected 35 writers from all over the world, including 16 from Asia:

The program starts on August 28th, and will end tentatively on November 16, 2010.
