Undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in reading and writing English poems have an opportunity to exhibit their talent and win cash prizes. The Loyola English Language Teaching (ELT) Centre of the Andhra Loyola College is organising ‘Poetry 2010', a competition in poetry reading and poetry writing, on August 27, on the eve of inauguration of Loyola Literary Society.

The Hindu is sponsoring cash prizes – Rs. 1,500 towards first prize, Rs.1,000 towards second prize and Rs.750 towards third prize for winners of poetry writing; Rs.1,000 towards first prize, Rs.750 towards second prize and Rs.300 towards third prize for winners of poetry reading. All the participants will be given certificates as well.
