INTRODUCTION: The Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, with the support of the Guangzhou Education Bureau, is pleased to announce the second edition of the writing contest “Italy in Guangzhou, Italy in your mind” from July to September, 2010.

CONTEST FORMAT: 1 script in prose (approx. 800 characters in length in word format; font: 宋体; size: 14; your name, school and class in the header)

ELIGIBILITY: any senior high school students in Guangzhou are invited to write for the Contest

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: August 31 , 2010 (Tuesday)

DELIVERY OF CONTEST MATERIALS: Contestants are required to fill in the "Writing Contest Registration form” (available for download at www.douban.com/host/itconculture/) and submit it together with the following works by to 2009writingcontest@gmail.com. Please indicate in the subject line: your name, school and class

RESULTS: Results will be announced on September 28 , 2010 on the event page of the Culture Office of the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou on Douban (www.douban.com/host/itconculture/) and the website of Guangzhou teaching research office (www.guangztr.edu.cn).

AWARD CEREMONY: Award ceremony will take place during the 2010 Italian Language Week (18 - 24 October 2010; date to be confirmed).

AWARDS:
First prize (1): GZL family package tour to Italy
Second prize (5): Voucher by Jinqiao Language Training Centre/Sun Glasses by Luxottica
Third prize (10): Voucher by Jinqiao Language Training Centre/Italian household appliances by De Longhi

All participants will be awarded vouchers by Jinqiao Language Training Centre.
All winning works will be translated into Italian and published.
