Golden Quill's Monsoon Writing Contest (India)
Monsoon is here to cheer up spirits and here we are with our "Monsoon Writing Contest" for Indian English Writers in India.

The contest is open for all (members and non-members). Everyone interested in participating is requested to go through all the information on this page before submitting an entry.

The Contest has two categories:

1. Category 1: Age group 12-18
2. Category 2: Age group 18 onwards

* In each category, there are two sections: Short Story and Poetry.
* One can apply in any or both the sections of his/her category as per age group. However, more than one entry by any one person in any section will be rejected.

* Submission must be grammatically correct and well edited.

* There is no word limit for Poetry.

* Word Limit for Short Stories is 6500 words
* Title is must. Word limit excludes title. Write title on the top of the entry.

* Submission (poem/short story) must somehow relate to theme monsoon. However, it’s up to writer how he/she uses the theme.

* For emailed/printed submissions, please use Times New Roman or Arial font, 12 Points, single spaced, paragraph or other breaks can be indicated by double space. Italics and bold can be used as per requirement.

* For hand written submissions, the hand writing should be clear and written on white A4 size paper.

* All submissions should be free of spelling and grammatical errors.
* With each entry, please include following personal details:

1. Name
2. Title of Entry
3. Category & section of Entry
4. Profession (In case student, include class and school name)
5. Date of Birth
6. Address
7. Email
8. Phone No.
9. Short Bio (not more than 800 words)
