Paying Market: Third Wednesday
POETRY:
All types of poetry are welcome, from formal to experimental. Emphasis is placed on the ideas conveyed, craft and language, beauty of expression, and the picture that extends beyond the frame of the poem. Length is open, up to three pages, max. Quality is paramount. TW uses some longer poems. No previously published poems, please. Send up to five poems.

SHORT FICTION:
The rules of fiction apply to this genre, but brevity is of the essence, 1,000 to 1,500 words or about three pages, double spaced. A beginning, middle, and resolution of conflict outweigh character development. Send only one or two stories per submission.

ARTWORK:
Black and white pictures that reproduce well may include ink drawings, collages, and photographs. Send clear reproductions (not originals) that can be copied easily and clearly. Work may need to be provided on a disk if it is accepted.

FINANCES AND RECOMPENSE:
Payment is one contributor's copy plus a small honorarium ($3 to $5 if your work appears in our pages). THIRD WEDNESDAY sells at $8.00 a copy, a yearly subscription (three or four issues) at $30.

DEADLINES:
Rolling. Seasonal work should be sent three months in advance. Thus, poems about winter should be sent in August, spring poems in January, etc.
