Tapas Bandyopadhyaya is a bi-lingual poet from India who writes in English and Bengali. He makes his living as a mining engineer and has spent much of his life in the coal mining belts in eastern India. His work has been published in The Statesman Kolkata and his translation of Kothopokothon I by Purnendu Pattrea won for him a consolation prize from Sahitya Academy, India.
