An evening of listening to the DAWAC Stories of Manang Betty Tabios

A Dawac is a healer/shaman among the Itnegs in the Ilocos Region. Manang Betty (80 years old) offers eye witness accounts of the healing power of the Dawac, her rituals and her practices. After Manang Betty attended the Babaylan conference, she was very inspired to remember these stories and re-tell them for those who would like to listen. These primary stories are important for those of us whose memories of the power of the Babaylans continue to be a source of inspiration and creative energy.
