This is a call for submissions for a web mag for Indian women – Women’s Web (www.womensweb.in). Women’s Web aims to offer Indian readers interesting + thoughtful content.
We’re looking for contributions in the form of book reviews. This is currently not a paid opportunity (we’re a fairly new start-up) but will link to reviewer’s website/blog.
Criteria:
- Book must be available in the Indian market
- Preferably new releases (last 2 months) although interesting takes on oldies will also be considered.
- Reviews between 400 and 800 words
- Can be fiction or non-fiction
- If fiction, would prefer either a female author or strong/interesting female characters.
- If non-fiction, would prefer books relevant to an Indian audience but topics can be varied – business, motherhood, gender, environment etc. Prefer reviews of ‘accessible’ rather than academic books.
Submissions must be sent to editor@womensweb.in with ‘Book Review’ mentioned in the Subject Line. No deadline, since this will be ongoing.
