Arabic Calligraphy Competition
Organized by Jinan University, with the support of the Parliamentary Commission on Education and Culture and the Centre Culturel Francais, the Arabic calligraphy competition was held in Sidon last March. Participants in the competition wrote articles and poems in Arabic and will be judged by a panel of professors from the Jinan University. Noting that Arabic calligraphy is the print of the holy Koran and that it is one of the most beautiful in the world, the organizers felt that it should be preserved.
